Here's the UK cover for the paperback release of Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I posted this one up on Facebook a couple days ago, but in case you missed it, here it is again for your viewing pleasure!
You can check out the original UK cover for Daughter of Smoke and Bone in: this post.
I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone when I read it last year, and I think both covers are great! I just might be tempted to pick up a paperback copy when it releases in July to add to my collection!
What do you think of the new cover?
Daughter of Smoke and Bone will be available to buy in paperback from July 5th 2012.

this is why i love covers that actually relate to the book. very cool cover. thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! Oh, no, I have the US hardcover, but I may have to buy a copy of the UK paperback now because that is one cool cover. I have a thing for red doors:)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which cover I like more!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, I totally missed this, but I really like this cover! It's not as pretty as the original UK hardback version (which is soooo gorgeous in real life), but I love that they tried to represent an important part of the book on it. And it's done quite well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE meaningful covers, and this one couldn't have been a better example. What bothers me is that the hand is at the door's side. And i had imagined it to be at the very center. Aaaaanyways. I still love it, and if I weren't broke, I'd buy it just to have it siting on my shelf <3
I haven't read it yet but I do have a copy - it's the UK hardcover (which is stunning). I just LOVE this one!!!! I think this is by far my favourite cover. <3
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cover! I need to buy a paperbacck copy then!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Daughter of Smoke and Bone in fact it was my favourite book of 2011 I think this is a gorgeous cover that really captures the book perfectly hopefully it will tempt yet more people to pick up this amazing book! -Jess Hearts Books
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this cover! I already liked the UK cover before but this totally stepped up its game and I like how it also relates to the book. I hate the US cover with a burning passion (haha yes very strong feelings) so I'm quite jealous!
ReplyDeleteWow! I really like that cover. I don't like the US version at all. I did like the old UK cover a lot, but this one beats it out hands down! It makes me think of a tougher, darker Narnia. It also looks a little more grown up, which is nice :P
ReplyDelete'A darker Narnia' - what a perfect way to describe this! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteSo, you didn't really like the US cover, then? ;-p
ReplyDeleteOooooo I love it! It has kind of sinister fairy tale quality to it that I think really suits the book:) And the red is really eye catching!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this cover.
