I actually haven't read too many books about cheating. I think that it's a no go area for a lot of authors because it's so hard to make the characters sympathetic. I'm kind of on the fence about it and would love to see how 99 days makes me feel!

  2. This sounds like such a fab summer read! Having your mum write a book based on you would be bad enough but when you're a teen? Yikes! Thanks for the giveaway hon!!

  3. I have a feature called Babes and Books on my blog, which are buddy reading reviews with Brandie and Stef (Brandie is a Book Junkie and Caught Read Handed), we recently reviewed a Colleen Hoover book and cheating came up. It's a topic that divides a lot of people. Personally, as much as I wish it were black and white, some authors make a fantastic case for grey areas. It's so circumstantial as to whether, as an outsider, I can understand/rationalise it. R x

I have not read that many books about cheating, it is something a lot of people (including myself) can relate to so its great to see it featuring in books. From your review it sounds like there's so much more to this book. Definitely one for my holiday reading list

  5. I usually don't read books about cheating because for me it makes it hard for me to connect to the character who cheated if I don't understand his/her reason for cheating .

  6. I feel for the one being cheated on that's for sure.

  7. I don't think I've read a book where cheating was a main topic. I'm not sure whether I would enjoy this element in a book, especially YA which tend to be more lighthearted and fun when it comes to romance books

  8. I think there are always two sides to the story!

  9. I don't usually read many books that talk about cheating, but when I do, I like to read how they deal with it and how they find the strength to move on. Thank you for the giveaway :)

  10. I haven't read that many books where cheating was involved. Come to think of it, can't remember any recent read where it was a part of the story. It's not a total turn off, but definitely not a fan of it 'cause it's really hard to sympathize with the cheater, no matter the reasons he or she might have had.
Thanks for the giveaway, this one is definitely on my TBR list! :)

  11. Yeah - I have read some books where the author just gets it all wrong and it is a real turn off then!

  12. I'm pretty sure I've read that Colleen Hoover book - and I didn't much like the way the sneaky cheating happened there at all! For some reason I just liked 99 Days even though Molly is certainly not perfect in all the mistakes she makes!

  13. That's what people say, and sometimes it's true, but, I dunno - In my own experience some guys will take any and every opportunity to cheat!
