Book Trailer: Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick || Release date: October 2014

Sometimes danger is hard to see... until it’s too late.

Britt Pfeiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn't prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.

In exchange for her life, Britt agrees to guide the men off the mountain. As they set off, Britt knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there... and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.

But nothing is as it seems in the mountains, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?

BLACK ICE is New York Times bestselling author Becca Fitzpatrick’s riveting romantic thriller set against the treacherous backdrop of the mountains of Wyoming. Falling in love should never be this dangerous…

I've heard mixed things about Becca Fitzpatrick's latest book Black Ice. Okay, so I'll be totally honest -- so far I've heard mostly bad things about this book.  A couple of my blogger friends abandoned the book as a DNF and more than a few have rated the book one-star.  The general consensus seems to be that the narrator - Britt - is annoying to the point of being unbearable.

However, there's no denying that the book trailer for Black Ice is awesome. The book is already on my to-read list for October, but if it wasn't, I'd be adding it right now.  I don't often feature book trailers on here  - but this one is really good (and creepy!) Take a look.

Have you read Black Ice? Do you agree with those DNF's and one-star reviews? Is Britt really as bad as they say?

I guess I'll find out for myself soon enough!

  1. I love when they do really high quality book trailers that almost look like movie trailers! This one is great and definitely makes me want to check the book out...but nothing puts me off my excitement like negative reviews from trusted bloggers! We'll see, still not sure about this one!

Love the book trailer! I haven't read too many reviews for this one. I'm bummed to hear that they aren't very good. I loved Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush series, so I had high hopes for this one. I definitely will be interested to hear your thoughts on it!

  3. I kind of wish this was a movie now and not a book! Pity about the early reviews and that the main character sounds to be a pain as it looks great. Looking forward to see what you think of it Leanne.

  4. I love the trailer too - but I have heard a LOT of bad things about the MC in this one. That said, just yesterday one of my blogger friends gave this one five stars. So all hope is not lost!

  5. I liked Hush, Hush too so I'm not letting the negativity surrounding this one sway me too much. It's coming up on my TBR soon. I'll let you know what I think!
