Book Trailer: Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini.

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini is one of my most anticipated books for summer 2011, and I'm just about to start reading it, so I hope I'm in for a treat!

Check out this great book trailer for Starcrossed, and if you've already read the book, let me know what you thought of it. I'd love to know!

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
Publisher: HarperTeen (US) MacMillan (UK)
Release date: May 2011 (US) June 2011 (UK)
Ages: 13+

Set on the island of Nantucket, STARCROSSED tells the tale of Helen Hamilton, a young woman whose destiny is forever altered when she meets Lucas Delos and tries to kill him in front of her entire high school. Which is terribly inconvenient, not only because Lucas is the most beautiful boy on the island, but also because Helen is so achingly shy she suffers physical pain whenever she is given too much attention.

Making matters worse, Helen is beginning to suspect she’s going crazy. Whenever she’s near Lucas or any member of his family she sees the ghostly apparitions of three women weeping bloody tears, and suffers the burden of an intense and irrational hate. She soon learns that she and Lucas are destined to play the leading roles in a Greek tragedy that the Three Fates insist on repeating over and over again throughout history. Like her namesake, Helen of Troy, she’s destined to start a war by falling in love. But even though Lucas and Helen can see their own star-crossed destiny, they’re still powerfully attracted to each other. Will they give up their personal happiness for the greater good, or risk it all to be together?

  1. I hope you enjoy it!

I hadn't seen the book trailer before.

For a change I actually really like both the US and UK covers! But I do think the UK one is great.

  2. Thanks for sharing the trailer! I didn't even know there was one. I just read it a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It was very Twilight-esque at times, but I was addicted. Loved the whole Greek mythology too. I hope you enjoy it! Also, I am a fan of the US cover.

  3. Thanks for the trailer!! I am so excited for this book!

  4. I liked this book a lot! One of my favorite reads so far this year :) Hope you'll like it too!

  5. Oh, I don't really like the UK cover! The US is one so pretty whilst the kiss in the UK one is too cliche though I suppose its not one of the worst covers I've seen by far :)

  6. Thanks for the trailer! For the first time, I like the US cover better than the UK one.

  7. I kinda like the UK cover better, I don't care that it's cliche. It's a beautiful cover. I just haven't been able to get into the US cover since I first laid eyes on it. Great post! And thanks for the Trailer!

  8. Oh yeah the trailer is quite the teaser and I am very excited about this one and very jealous you are about to read it. Cannot wait to hear your thoughts on this one. Enjoy!

  9. I love book trailers! I just finished this one recently and loved it, I'm such a big fan of Greek mythology and starcrossed romances, so this one was a big winner for me:)

  10. That is totally awesome. Just started reading it last night :D

  11. Love both covers! *swooooon* Can't read it! Love the trailer. Thanks for sharing :)

  12. Fantastic trailer - Got this one sitting on my shelf and will be starting this one soon. Have seen some great reviews for this one and the trailer only adds to the feeling that this might definitely be worth the read.

  13. The UK cover is really intense, but I like both! They are both better than the German cover.
