  1. I'm planning on reading Red Rain by RL Stine this year - I loved his Point Horror books as a kid so I hope this one still scares me!

Spooky stories are not usually what I read but it's a genre I'm trying to expand my knowledge. I've read The Woman In Black which I enjoyed a lot and Anna Dressed in Blood which I loved (not sure of ADiB is considered horror... still, it had some pretty spine-chill moments :P)

Thank you for the giveaway ^_^

I've heard such good things about Ten Leanna! But I'm such an enormous chicken that I curl my fingers into fists every time I think about reaching for it in the bookstore. Maybe I just need to pick a sunny day and read it out on the patio and then maybe it won't scare the life out of me:)

  29. My favorite spooky reads are any Stephen King or Dean Koontz books. I'm reading the "Unwind" series this month, which is kind of spooky (more like disturbing!). Basically, parents can choose to have their kids "unwound" between the ages of 13 and 18. "Unwinding" involves the kid being sent to a "harvast camp" and "donating" every organ and piece of their body to people who need/buy them.

  30. I hate that we don't have Halloween! I might start The Discovery of Witches in lonely celebration, hehe.

  31. I am Legend by Richard Matheson :)

  32. Great collection, I always think scary books have the best covers. I adore the look of TOTFTTM. I don't think I ever purposely read a scary book at Halloween but I will this year now that you've inspired me. My scary books are any Harlan Coben ones, they terrify me. More psychological scary than spooky scary but still scary!

My favourite spooky read is definitely 'The Shining' by Stephen King. Master of horror! Although if we're talking anything to do with vampires, werewolves, etc then I love the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris too.
