OMG! Squee!!
Check out this new UK cover for Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. I'm counting down the days to this one and I seriously can't wait to read it! If you haven't already seen the US cover for this eagerly anticipated Vampire Academy spin-off, then take a look here. Bloodlines will be released in the US and UK in August. I know a couple of US bloggers who snagged a copy at BEA and they assure me that this book is amazing.
I cannot wait to read it!!
BLOOD DOESN'T LIE. Sydney is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of human and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. When Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, at first she thinks she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. But what unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the last place anyone would think to look for vampire royalty - a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. But instead of finding safety at Amberwood Prep, Sydney discovers the drama is only just beginning...

***COVER UPDATE ***
So, just a couple of days ago, I received an email to let me know that the UK cover for Bloodlines has changed, and will now match the US cover, giving this series, which is sure to be a global hit, a more global series look. Take a look!
I really don't know if I like it. It's different. I don't really like the US cover either though.
ReplyDeleteHmmm Don't know what I think about the cover. It's a bit strange.
ReplyDeleteSuper excited to read this book! Nice cover!
ReplyDeleteI dislike all the white! =(
ReplyDeleteWould look so much better on black.
Oh, I like your cover much better than the U.S. one! Pretty. Although I agree it would probably look better against a different color, the white is a little stark.
ReplyDeleteEEK!! That's just - AAH!! - G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. (!!) :D I wasn't going to buy Bloodlines, because the US cover doesn't really do it for me, but this one makes me want to finish Vampire Academy SOON so I can buy it as soon as it's released!! *cover love*
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I like this cover - I don't like the US one but this one isn't much better if I'm honest. Cannot wait to read the book though, I loved the VA series so I'm really excited!
ReplyDeleteI don't really love either covers, but the white is a bit glaring for me. But I'm really looking forward to reading more about these characters, although I wish I could have a book from Dimitri's POV.
ReplyDeleteI love this cover and think it is much more interesting than the US one. I have not read the Vampire Academy, but think I will give Bloodlines a try.
ReplyDeletei like this one much more than the aussie one :)
ReplyDeletei think it's curious and funky and not one bit embarrassing ;)
It's so different. I'm actually not liking it.
ReplyDeleteI like this one! I am very curious as to which one we are getting in Aus. I am not a huge fan of the US one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the tattoo-like quality to it, but I actually like the white background with all the color, it makes it stand out. I think I like it more than the US one with the faces:) Thanks for sharing Leanna!
ReplyDeleteThe cover is very different...not too sure what I think about it except that I am so excited to read this one too!
ReplyDeleteThat's defintely not my favourite style. The US cover is so much prettier!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a bunch of temporary tattoos :P I'm not too fond of either of the covers. This is an author I really need to read sometime soon!
