Yes, that's right! I'm going to Rome! We fly out tomorrow at 6a.m (Boo to ridiculous flight times!). I've always wanted to go to Rome, but somehow I've never managed to get there..until now! In fact, the last time I planned on going to Rome, I ended up in Bratislava, and then Vienna....
So, I've already mentioned this trip on twitter, but for anyone who hadn't seen and was wondering where I'd got to, I'll be in Rome! I don't plan on blogging while I'm away (I am so not organised enough to have scheduled any posts!) but I will have lots of exciting stuff in store when I return!
I will definitely tell you all about my trip and post photos too!
So...if anyone has any tips on what I should do or see, let me know in comments. I have a list already, but maybe I missed something!
I also wanted to go on a day trip to Florence, but since it's a short trip, and there's so much to do in Rome, I don't know if I'll have time.
Oh well!
Ciao, ciao for now! :)

Wow! Hope you have a fab trip! :)
ReplyDeleteHow awesome, I wish you soo much fun in Rome! I spent 5 days in Rome in 2009 and it was the best trip I've made so far. I loved the Spanish stairs, Fontana di Trevi at night, Vatican at night. You need to take a walk through the park around la Villa Borghese(it was beautiful in summer and has so many turtles in its lakes).Don't forget to eat a lot of pizza and pasta:D
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm excited to go!
ReplyDelete@Miss Page-Turner - I was just reading about Villa Borghese last night. It looks so pretty. I will definitely go there! I will also eat lots of pizza and pasta! :)
Wow! I hope you have lots of fun! Have a fantastic trip! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip and have fun!!
ReplyDeleteYay! I am so excited that you are going, so that way you can tell me all about it before my trip! I can't wait to see your photos. Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in Rome! It really is a lovely city! I went there on a school trip when I was 17 and I absolutely loved it! The Colosseum, the Fontana di Trevi, the Piaza di Spagnia, the neighbourhood of Santa Maria in Trastevere. Those were 5 wonderful days!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yourself! :)
You have to go to Florence! Have to, have to, HAVE TO! I went there over the summer and it was literally the best time of my entire life. Anyways, me= slightly jealous!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!
;)
You lucky girl :) Oh how I miss living in Europe & regret not making it to Italy while I was there. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a fab time. Enjoy the rest!

ReplyDeleteHave an amazing holiday. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back :)
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Rome! Lucky you! I'm small, can I go in your suitcase? Have a wonderful holiday :)
ReplyDeleteI went to Rome with my family last Easter for a week and I had a fantastic time! We got a few more days than expected because our flight got cancelled in the Icelandic volcano chaos.
ReplyDeleteTips:
If you're going to visit the Spanish Steps, I'd reccommend that you go later rather than earlier because the first time we went, the spring flowers hadn't been put up so it was bare but they had been when we walked past later in the week and it looks much prettier.
If you're looking for a shorter day trip out of Rome that isn't too far, then I'd really reccommend the ruins of Ostia Antica. It's very similar to Pompeii but smaller and well worth a visit.
I agree with Phanne, Trasterve is a lovely place that is supposed to be the 'real Italian' part of Rome. The ice cream shop that is supposed to be the best in Rome is there too.
My mum says you might enjoy looking around the Jewish Quarters of the city too.
I hope you have a wonderful time- I can't wait to see all your photos!
Oh, are you so lucky to be going to Rome - don't have any tips except to tell you to have a blast of a time! I can't wait to catch up and read about your trip. Sure you'll take loads of fabulous pics :) Have fun Leanna
