Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine that spotlights eagerly awaited upcoming releases.
Where She Went by Gayle FormanPublisher: Dutton Juvenile.Release date: April 19th 2011.
It’s been three years since Adam’s love saved Mia after the accident that annihilated life as she knew it . . . and three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard’s rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia’s home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future—and each other.
Told from Adam’s point of view in the spare, powerful prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.
I'm almost in tears already just from reading the summary! By the way, the summary is spoilerific, and I guess it's too late to warn you now, but since it's already posted on Goodreads, I don't think I've committed any major faux pas! :) I so can't wait to read this book - definitely top of my wishlist for 2011. Let me know what you think, and share your picks in comments!
beautiful cover, I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! I love your WOW, looking forward to reading it too!

Great pick. I am definitely waiting on this one as well. I loved If I Stay so I can't wait to see where this one will go.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be reading If I Stay this week and am so excited about that book - based on your and everyone else's review, it's definitely worth reading! Pretty sure I'll also want to add this as soon as I'm done with If I Stay - so love the cover for this as well.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know how those who haven't read IF I STAY yet feel about knowing that in the end of it Mia stays. I'm super glad I got to read it before this one was announced. I'm so excited to read this one!
ReplyDeleteI kind of love that I didn't know there was going to be a sequal, I think it made my reading of If I Stay more enjoyable. It also makes this book a huge wonderful shock! Great pick.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this one.
ReplyDeleteI find it's never a good idea to read the blurb for the next book in the series if you haven't read the book before it, 'cause there's usually some kind of spoiler for the last book.
THis sounds like a great book. THanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my WOW for the week

ReplyDelete@Cass - I feel the same way as you do. I'm so glad I read the first book before this one was announced. I'm a little bit surprised that so much was given away in the summary. Hope it doesn't spoil things for anyone.
