Immortal Beloved - Cate TiernanLittle, Brown Books for Young ReadersHardcover, 416 pages.Release date: September 7th 2010.Age group: Young Adult.
Nastasya has spent the last century living as a spoiled, drugged-out party girl. She feels nothing and cares for no one. But when she witnesses her best friend, a Dark Immortal, torture a human, she realizes something's got to change. She seeks refuge at a rehab for wayward immortals, where she meets the gorgeous, undeniably sexy Reyn, who seems inexplicably linked to her past.
Nastasya finally begins to deal with life, and even feels safe--until the night she learns that someone wants her dead.
Cate Tiernan, author of the popular Sweep series, returns with an engaging story of a timeless struggle and inescapable romance, the first book in a stunning new fantasy trilogy.
I haven't read any of Cate Tiernan's previous books, but I think this one sounds really good.
What book are you eagerly awaiting this week?
Me neither, but this one sounds really good and the cover is amazing. And what does Dark Immortal mean? Got me curious. Great pick.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really good! And I'm suddenly so curious about Reyn. Hmm...this seems nice. An immortal with a conscience. :) Usually they're bad.
ReplyDeleteThis does sound like it will be a great addition to the paranormal genre.
ReplyDeleteOh, my...a rehab for wayward immortals. An intriguing twist...

Nice pick, sounds very intriguing. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of this one before, but it looks really good!
ReplyDeleteThis one does look good.
ReplyDeleteI have this one on my TBR list too. I think it has an interesting premise. Good pick!
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself I'm done with YA, yet this does sound tempting! Is it one book on its own or part of a series?
ReplyDelete@Simay - It's the first in a trilogy. hahaha! :-P Actually, I find with most YA titles these days, they are all written as part of a series, or with the option to go with a second book if the first is successful. You don't get many stand alone YA's it would seem. Well, not that I've encountered.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading a lot of YA over the past while. I need to read a grown up book soon. lol!
Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteHere's my pick.
lol! Well, I must admit, I'm waiting for you to get a taste of my grown-up vampires sometime! <3
ReplyDeleteYES! I too want to read this book! Great choice!
ReplyDelete~ Jessica

ReplyDeleteThis sounds so unique! At least I've never read anything like it. I'm adding this to my TBR list now. Thanks!

Very cool! I'm not a fantasy reader but this sounds and looks great.
ReplyDelete@Marie - I may have to check out the Sweep series. I think it's been recommended to me on here before!
