I expected more from Andrea Cremer and David Levithan, to be perfectly honest.Ariannenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689237444917451564.post-64615939028802645852013-10-26T09:30:42.894+01:002013-10-26T09:30:42.894+01:00Thanks, Rachel :)Thanks, Rachel :)Ariannenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689237444917451564.post-13462750583996896752013-10-26T09:30:20.654+01:002013-10-26T09:30:20.654+01:00I can't say I blame you for holding off on rea...I can't say I blame you for holding off on reading this one, Rachel! It's difficult not to be disappointed when such a fantastic concept is let down by other parts of the book. Maybe one day it will will find a reader who completely adores it, but sadly I'm not that person!Ariannenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689237444917451564.post-89858345322569745272013-10-26T01:37:00.414+01:002013-10-26T01:37:00.414+01:00Great review, Arianne. I was hoping for a much more compelling read given that Andrea Cremer and David Levithan wrote it, but ultimately, it felt rather "meh" for me. I'm glad I am not alone in that. The best part of the book was Laurie--loved that character too!ChristinaBookAddictnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689237444917451564.post-3633591225547631322013-10-25T21:23:47.770+01:002013-10-25T21:23:47.770+01:00Ooops, sorry, I didn't see that it was Arianne...Ooops, sorry, I didn't see that it was Arianne who reviewed this! I love the idea of this story, but I don't always care for Levithan's characters. But it sounds like Cremer's was the issue here. Hard to like a book when the heroine is hit and miss for you. Wonderful review, Leanna. I think this will sit on the shelf a little longer. :)♥Rachel♥noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689237444917451564.post-64651815187801484742013-10-25T20:18:25.778+01:002013-10-25T20:18:25.778+01:00Glad you enjoyed the review, Karen. And I can't stop laughing at Elizabeth's nickname, Jo? Where did that come from? Lovely review as always Arianne! :)Jaspritnoreply@blogger.com
