UK Cover Alert: Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor.

The countdown to Days of Blood and Starlight, the sequel to Laini Taylor's most excellent Daughter of Smoke and Bone is on, and here (kinda-lukewarm-off-the-press as I was sent this last week!)  is the UK cover. What do you think of this one?

Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #2) by Laini Taylor
Publisher: Hodder & Stoughton
Release date: November 8th 2012
Ages: 14+

Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love and dared to imagine a new way of living - one without massacres and torn throats and bonfires of the fallen, without revenants or bastard armies or children ripped from their mothers' arms to take their turn in the killing and dying.

Once, the lovers lay entwined in the moon's secret temple and dreamed of a world that was a like a jewel-box without a jewel - a paradise waiting for them to find it and fill it with their happiness.

This was not that world.

And here are the US and UK covers side by side.  Which one is your fave?  Let me know in comments!

  2. I really like the one on the left. I'm almost finished with Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and I'm trying to read slowly so it doesn't end, haha!

  7. Must say I definitely prefer the UK cover over the US one. Not quite sure how it ties in with the novel, but can't wait to find out!

Wow! They are so different! I have to say I like the UK cover better, fire is pretty (that's sounds a bit deranged but still...)

  9. I think I'm going to have to go with the US cover on this one, I love the face and the gorgeous red makeup. I am dying to get my hands on this book, I need more of Karou and Akiva's story! SO EXCITED!

  13. I had to reread Daughter of Smoke and Bone first, but then Days of Blood & Starlight picked up right where the first book ended. It was a great read and I couldn't put it down! Cannot wait for the next
installment. I miss the angels and the chimera. I hope Laini gets it to
    us asap!
